Position: Customer Service Representative

Job Description:

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt.
Full Time.
Location: Chicago, IL.
Monday through Friday 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Starting Pay Rate: Starting $19 Hourly.

About the Job:

A Customer Service Receptionist Representative serves as the first point of contact for customers, clients, and visitors. This role combines receptionist duties with customer service responsibilities, ensuring a welcoming environment while providing accurate information, resolving inquiries, and supporting daily administrative operations.

Responsibilities:

Greet and welcome visitors, customers, and clients in a friendly and professional manner.
Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls.
Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
Schedule appointments and maintain calendars.
Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly or escalate when necessary.
Maintain customer records and update information in company databases.
Receive, sort, and distribute mail and deliveries.
Process transactions, forms, applications, or service requests.
Assist with general administrative and clerical tasks.
Ensure the reception area remains organized and presentable.
Provide information about company products, services, and policies.

Requirements:

A high school qualification or equivalent.
Customer service excellence.
Time management.
Organization and attention to detail.
Type 45 words per minute.
Be able to obtain a PERC license within 30 days of employment.
Ability to relay information in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work under stress and remain calm and to calm other people during rapidly changing circumstances.
Ability to multitask with different, and sometimes conflicting, events happening at the same time.
Knowledge of computers, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with others under any type of condition.

Physical Requirements:

Constant – Seeing, hearing, feeling, standing, walking, and sitting.
Occasional – reaching, stooping, climbing, balancing, driving, bending, twisting, handling paperwork.
Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug screening.
